If left up to me all groceries and produce that we normally eat would be sold at local farmers markets. I don’t know about you but I like the idea of knowing where my food comes from and also buying locally sourced foods is genuinely bothering me. I know there are a lot of people who choose to shop at grocery stores because they are more convenient to them, but they can get most of what they need and much more by shopping at a farmers market. I once had a coworker to tell me that she didn’t grocery shop at markets because she opted to do her shopping in the A/C. I thought that was foolish! I told her that people should be willing to get outdoors and deal with the heat once in awhile without an A/C. Maybe they should open up a grocery store that only carries locally grown things so that other people who are like my associate would shop there. I generally find the A/C to be a bizarre reason for not wanting to go to the market, but what can I say? It does get pretty hot and sticky where the two of us live. I know that some days the temperatures can reach the high 90s, and whenever that occurs I tend to become quite dizzy and out of sorts myself. I believe in the future that people will have to be innovative in how they are marketing if they would like to draw in the biggest amount of people. I guess you can say that I have a passion for food so I’m constantly thinking about things like this! It’s a longtime dream of mine to have a small organic farm, so maybe I should just keep my friend’s gripes and concerns in mind. I’d like to market my produce at a place where people will shop and still be comfortable, so the cooling plan will be something very important to keep in mind.
