Outside HVAC equipment

Earlier this week, I came home from work to find my home was certainly hot and uncomfortable – an unwelcome change from the norm. I instantly went to the thermostat to check the temperature. For some backstory, I had the seasoned thermostat replaced with a programmable one several years back, so I have been accustomed to coming home to a cool air conditioned house in the late afternoons. This was a day unlike any other, it seemed. I verified the temperature at the thermostat, and then I evaluated the electrical box to make sure it had not been hit with an electrical surge and tripped a wire. I went outside to check the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C equipment, and I still did not see anything out of the ordinary! The Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment was on, but not cooling at all. The air conditioner was on, but nothing was coming out! It felt as if the oil furnace was on, if anything. So I begrudgingly called a local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C company to set an appointment for the next day. I wasn’t sure if this was going to be an expensive repair or a simple fix, but either way I’m eager to get the repair sorted out. I knew that I would need the help of a professional at some point, just to get my air conditioner working and cooling my home once again. Around the same time the following day, I felt relieved when I saw the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C truck in my driveway, waiting for my return home. After a brief introduction, the HVAC professional went about their business, and found that I had a significant freon leak. it wasn’t long before that talented Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C worker had my air conditioner cooling my home once again, and I was thankful the repair bill wasn’t going to break the bank!
