I know people have a lot of horror stories about their HVAC systems and things going wrong, especially at the worst times. I’m not one of those people. I don’t want to jinx it by saying that, but ever since I moved into my house I haven’t had any issues with my heating and cooling system. I could improve upon how often I get the HVAC system looked at, however, to keep the trend going. Right now I really don’t have an HVAC specialist out unless something goes wrong, and I know I’m not supposed to be like that. I know the smart thing to do is to have routine maintenance done on the heating and cooling system at least once a year. I know that in my head, but in practice I find that I’m spoiled by my good luck in the HVAC department. I haven’t had really any problems, and part of me wonders if I just don’t mess with it, if it will stay that way. Obviously, I know better than that. And on my list of things to do is to get better at having my HVAC system checked over. I don’t want to get to the point where everything starts going wrong at once. Especially since winter isn’t too far away. I don’t want my heating system to fail right in the middle of winter when I need it most! I’ve had good luck, yes, but if I don’t start being proactive, I’m afraid things will turn. I don’t want the tide of my fortune to change and leave me stuck up the creek without a paddle!
